Michael Yon is a straight shot that tells the good, bad and ugly. Anyone who reads his dispatches regularly knows this. He brings the soldiers stories across unfiltered. Not just American forces, but also the Brits. He's the best source on the ground in Iraq as far as media is concerned. He's spent over a year there to this point.

Limboslam, tboehnlein > Have to agree here. I see a lot of positiveness on Michael Yon's reports, and many of these reports never show this side of the people there. It'd be refreshing for a report to show both the plus and minuses and not just one.

How typical a response from an illiterate. "ballsOFstellForever" can't even spell "steel" nor write a coherent reply without the use of invectives that mean absolutely nothing, perhaps because he really had nothing to say....just profanity and putdowns. How VERY informative and interesting....NOT.

We are blessed as a nation to have a military that is willing to make the necessary sacrifice. This is War! The goal is not to get our soldiers out of Iraq. Once the mission is complete; then, and only then will our soldiers come home. We all look forward to that day. I do believe that the war on terror will be going on for many years to come and that our military should be much larger. With a larger military, the frequency of combat tours could be reduced.
