@alex927 well i know the pads on an mpc die out, and the thing about the maschine is you produce on the computer wich im not a fan of. Its just your poison. Get an mpc200xl.

@mar400071 . Hi how you doing bro? i seen your question and nobody answered it so i wanted to help. Yes the software comes with the maschine. You can use the software alone and you can also control the software directly from the maschine but what you cant do is use the maschine without the software, its not like the mpc where you could take some discs with you and load sounds to it etc. I just bought one a week ago and i love it, i highly recommend it to everyone. ninesixx. com

what is it typically used for? i saw the other guy had it for dubstep. do all dubstep artist use these?

@dmartinez1982 Yes, it was day one with Maschine right out of the box. I wasn't in the studio.
