ステディカム マーリンのジンバル部分に左手の親指と人差し指を添えてカメラをコントロールすることが分かってから、仕事が忙しくなりなかなか練習出来ませんでした。久しぶりに撮影の練­習に行って来ましたのでビデオをUPしてみます。

I have the same combination but I still cannot balance the GH-1/ MERLIN . Is there any chance of you letting me know your settings? I get close but cannot get rid of the slight pendulum effect. I'm using the M hole in the dovetail plate.

I set with this video (Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH1+Steadicam Merlin Retrial setting). But I think it isn't right. I intend to contribute a video doing setting by a combination of GH1+VARIO 7-14mm on the next time. Please refer to it.(I used translation service of the network.)

It is right that you say. Because it was an exercise of the operation of Merlin, I used many panning. When the video work is made, I will reduce it. Thank you for advice.

Beautifull image quality and location. Great place to learn how to steadicam. :)

If you don't mind me saying... It looks like you are controlling the gimbal a bit to much. Let the camera and merlin do their magic and just gently guide the gimbal from time to time. It will increase the floating look.

The camera seems to be well balanced. Keep up the good work!

This is a famous park in the Machida city in Tokyo.

I affixed the thumb and the forefinger of the left hand to gimbal and controlled the angle of the camera.

It is a part "Guide" in the upper part of gimbal to be precise.

OIS is always turning ON.

I guess you do all the tilting,panning with the left hand, thumb and finger on the gimball?

do you also turn OIS off?
