In Philadelphia, on December 6, 2008, as part of the demonstration supporting Mumia Abu-Jamal, Journalists for Mumia gave a presentation at 13th and Locust St., the site of the December 9, 1981 shootings of both Mumia Abu-Jamal and police officer Daniel Faulkner.
The presentation (assisted by a new flyer that can be downloaded here: www.abu-jamal-news.com/docs/d6csi.pdf) focused on the newly discovered crime scene photos taken by press photographer Pedro Polakoff which show that prosecution witness Robert Chobert was not actually parked where he testified to being as he allegedly observed the shooting of Faulkner. This is supported by an affidavit from George Michael Newman, as well as another crime scene photo (not taken by Polakoff) that recently surfaced in an anti-Mumia You Tube video.
The crime scene presentation also focused on the frame-up and trial of Mumias brother Billy Cook, who is interviewed on camera for the first time in the new British documentary film titled In Prison My Whole Life, which premiered on The Sundance Channel on December 8, 2008. As documented by German author Michael Schiffmann, prosecution witnesses Michael Scanlan and Cynthia White both gave absurd testimony at Cooks trial, which would then change significantly a few months later at Mumias trial.

Fry Mumia Abu-Jamal for murdering a public servant in cold blood. He would've killed more people, not just cops but innocent people. The fucking black panther scum advocated the murder of innocents!

You wanto to know why there was an empty space behind officer Faulkner's car? Because Robert Chobert drove and tried to find another cop to inform them Danny was shot. You idiots need to stop distorting the truth and realize you have been duped by a lunatic who murdered another human in cold blood.

Officer Danny Faulkner was murdered by Mumia Abu Jamal who should't be in an 8 x 10 cell... He should be 6 feet closer to HELL. God bless P/O Danny Faulkner for giving the ultimate sacrifice. 4699

The fact that you base your argument for a retrial in the face of such overwhelming evidence is nonsense. Logically weigh the evidence in this case and you will see that it was a ground ball conviction.
Learn the facts and stop supporting something just because someone filled your mind with rhetoric and propoganda. It is very easy to find a vast amount of information on this topic, research the arguments on both sides and decide which one makes more sense. It truly is a no brainer.

Part 1: You really should get a life; there are no grounds for a retrial; American law is essentially the same as English law - from which it is largely derived - on this point. Before a retrial the conviction must be quashed, and before a conviction can be quashed there must be substantial grounds for believing a properly directed jury could arrive at another verdict. The insinuation or claim of perjury is not sufficient, nor is perjury itself.

This is a terrible injustice. It is evident that Mumia is entitled to a retrial in the light of any NEW OR MISREPRESENTED details of the crime in question. Everyone deserves the right to have miscarriage of justice reversed. This case is made on lies and unsupportable so called evidence to convict Mumia. A NEW TRIAL is the only way to resolve this Police corruption,on these matters which is public concern regarding the police false statements in this case.
