  • Man, where can I get this audio?

  • I love Tool, but this opening is so awesome that it's kind of a let down that Sober is the song that follows. I wish they had done a crazy rearrangement of the song to match the atmospheric intro.

  • @minusjason i know and love fripp solo- despite my joy in heavy, his Fripp\Eno Evening Star is one of my favourite albums\discs... i actually have been hoping the discipline era group might do one more disc. the latest associated release "Scarcity of Miracles" has its own charms, but lacks a certain spontaneity i've gotten used to in Crimso. Stickmen are fun, but feels more side project than main event. i was primarily commenting one the blend of Crimso and Tool. wish for real original collab...

  • @hippomancy Well, of course you know, the Discipline band was a different band, member-wise. I think it had 2 of the 3 guys who made Red, and then 2 new guys-- with Belew as the main songwriter.

You might find more of what you were looking for on some of Fripp's solo albums. Or, have you heard Stickmen yet? They get pretty heavy at times.

  • the notes that fripp was playing sounded like the same ones at the end of merkaba, which they used to play before sober didn't they???

  • Is this Fripp intro available on any of his solo or King Crimson albums?

  • Uffffff de lo mejor !

  • Is there any way I can find this album??

  • @TheAbdabsSound please don't misunderstand me- i love RED. my fave Crimso album that satisfies that itch for heavy. i just was saddened that Fripp felt he'd explored that vibe enough and was willing to walk away. Lark's Tongue and Starless & Bible Black are also great. each new piece from Fripp and company are an adventure, and i often describe them as a band hard to love but rewarding if you stick with it and allow yourself to acclimatise to each new product. a Tool/Crimso duo was massive.
