A recently repaired Roland Jupiter 8 (J-8) analog (analogue) synthesiser (synthesizer). A fault cmos IC in the D-A converter section on the upper voice controller PCB was causing untold weirdness to occur such as double-acting sliders, voices playing 'flat' and incorrect patches.

  • Dual mode sounds great doesn't it? Press the 1 & 3 program buttons on power-up and it won't auto-tune. Put that in unison and play a resonant sweep. It's killer!
