This Mustang had a hard life. Jon is a great pilot, but between the two of us this plane refused to fly. I dont think it ever had a flight where nothing broke. So to send it off with style we tried our best to help it fly. Sadly it still refused.

  • I had this plane and as far as my time with this plane it also never realley flew. Everytime I tried it would crash and break. Finally I put this crap back into the box as it sits today. Not sure what to do with it, as I can't seem to bring myself to toss it I bought a stryker body and transfered themotor and electronics into that so it would not be a total loss. The stryker flew well. I have wondered if the Gunfighter flies and breaks as easily as this one did.

  • @krtex56 Yeah its a pretty shitty plane. Problem was most of the electrics at that time were designed at very low sea levels, so if you lived at a high altitude, like I do, they just won't work. Luckily they realized there mistake and never did it again.. Parkzone I mean. Nitroplanes still sells nothing but these types of planes

  • @RobscoRC Glad you mentioned NitroPlane's I was wondering about those too. I was thinking about getting one and changed my mind. I decided on the parkzone corsair. Ended up with the mini and the big sister. They bolth are great, althogh the mini don't like the wind at all. As expected from such a small plane. So far I love its sister. It is very stable. Not sure about tough I haven't crashed yet (trying to keep it that way)

  • @krtex56 Well take it from me, iv been through MANY park zone Corsairs. Great plane but it has one fatal flaw, where the wings attach to the fuse, is very weak in two spots, where the screw goes in, and in the folds of the wing itself. 3 times now iv seen the wings snap mid air. Mind you ours were very hopped up. If you wanna make it faster, buy an E-flite Power 10 motor and APC 10x7 prop.. Be careful!

  • @RobscoRC Thanks for the warning. Is there a trick to beef up the weak spots on the wing? Or fly and hope it won't give.

  • @krtex56 What we were doing was fiberglassing the leading edge. It add's weight and is a tricky process but it works. honestly Id say fly it till it smashes or you get board of it, then upgrade to the Wildcat, Thunderbolt or the new Spitfire. All of which are far better designed and fly amazing

  • @JetFlyyer It may have worked well at sea level, but up here in Canada's north, it never flew.

  • @RobscoRC then again they wanted to make it affordable but they didnt put enough power in it :(
