  • I agree with all the other posters. This miniseries was perfectly done, and arguably one of the best cast films in all theatre.

    With respect to this scene, I get the chills everytime I watch this. I truly believe the real John Adams would be proud of this depiction of his life.

  • @pluto4847 Research it more, he was never "popular". He was always stubborn and disliked, as in the movie, and did always do everything to get it his way, which was right, and never was swayed from his righteous opinion. He also refused to ally ourselves to tyrannical nations such as France.

    John Adams was a Jimmy Carter. He only served 1 term. He must have not been very popular after his first 4 years in office.

    Agreed, one thing I see in Adam's quotes(not just his portrayals in different series) is that he was for effort and talent and other things of a more objectivist nature. It just really comes across that way in all his actions that we know historically.
