This is the latest footage of me at training. I'm a student of the game and I'm learning everything I can so I can compete in tournaments in the future. This was a complete game and the last game of my training session, I did use 6 different balls and played different parts of the lane the entire game, so that's why I was lined up different every shot. I know my key problems but at this point I'm struggling to fix them. The 2 problems I'm trying to fix are my release (Loft), it's a big issue and as you can see in the video I don't loft the same distance each shot which makes it an even bigger problem. Problem 2 is my hand position at my backswing. I don't want that hand cupped, nor do I want my hand at the angle on the ball, I want the ball on the outside of the swing and only a little cupped not fully cupped like I seem to throw it. Any tips, suggestions, comments or feedback is welcomed and encouraged..
And Don't worry about that strike in the 8th frame that I got out wide, this was taped on the easiest house pattern in the greater cleveland area LOL. -Jeremy M.

  • He he. He looks kinda' bored.

  • your comin in at a serious angle witch will leave splits

  • Hey! I'm not a hook bowler so what I say might not help.. But a suggestion you may wanna try is probably just break down your release a little, don't try to rev it as hard, image yourself rolling the ball and see if it helps :)

  • Your loft shot has a different break point most every time. Reason being, you very rarely hit the distance from the foul line. Agree with earlier comment of snapping the wrist too much.

  • don't twist your wrist, you will get a more controlled release if you keep your hand straight ;-)

  • I think your hand cupping and your loft are related...try not to squeeze the fingers in your hand...relax and try to throw it smoothly, and not with force. I dunno if thats the reason, so find a coach at your bowling alley to see what it might be.

Great ball reactions btw, and is your thumbhole too tight? And don't use that many balls, it will totally throw you off!

  • Dude. You should be on the lane next to you with the bumpers...

Seriously though, I stumbled across this video and I was like wait a second I know that swing and form. Sure enough I knew it was you... I used to bowl on your team a couple years ago. Tell my brother I said whats up! BMD! Oh yeah you have to get the blonde on your video next time.\

    What ball should I get?

    Virtual Gravity

    Reign

    Seige

    c-system

    Nasty

I kind of like the Reign. Saw someone throw it and it was sick!

  • change nothing , your style is great.

Don't hate the loft , use it!

The only thing you're doing wrong , is that you're having way too many balls in the same lane condition...

Find the one that gives you the strike and keep that. On a fresh oiled lane make up your mind what bowling ball goes best and play with it. Change the ball only when the oil condition changes. One for fresh oil and one for when the oil gets dried up. 3 balls and 1 spareball are more than enough.

  • YOUR left arm is very Loose...you need to take a look...at that... YOU need to post yourself better at the line.....at times your sliding foot moves too much......your very Inconsistient in hitting your target....your bowling on easy shot and your all over.....just don't throw the ball.........work on making your game stronger....it takes lot of very hard work.....and MONEY.....

  • Arm swing is fine but you need to work on the release. Sometimes you have too much loft other times you lay it down at the line. One ttime you almost hit your ankle. Try to do less cranking on the ball as well.Pretty good though. Good luck and I'll be watching for you on the PBA.
