Bill Sharpe & Tessa Niles - Famous People

Taken from the Bill Sharpe album "Famous People" (1985). There was a video for this song uploaded by Universal but has since been removed. Following the UK Top 20 hit "Change Your Mind" with Gary Numan, this song was a great follow-up but didn't attract any attention at all. It was a rare opportunity for in-demand backing vocalist Tessa Niles to sing lead on a single, but despite her obvous vocal capabilities, the wider public wouldn't have known who she was. All credit to Bill for this composition and I do prefer the Shakatak songs he composed over the other members.

The version to get if you can is the UK 12" release on Polydor which funnily enough , contains the US Remix by the Latin Rascals - that's the best version.

@tobybunny77 Yes I agree that's a better version, useful that it's included on the CD edition of the album. But I still had to get the 12" for the dub mix!

Funny, I have the vinyl and the song is completely different instrumentally. This one is more "techno" and sounds emptier.........
