  • Yes the car is fitted with the 300bhp version but is running about 330ish at the mo. Brakes and suspension are still standard so the GT3 keeps with us in the corners and catches the car under braking, the car is going in over the next few weeks for an AP racing 4 pot brake conversion and a full set of 2 way nitrons to be fitted which will change the cars handling and braking abilities 10 fold, the GT3 will have no chance then !! :-)

  • Is this the 1.8T from the Donkervoort?

Or a 2 liter turbocharged engine from the Golf GTI/S3?

  • its the 1.8t engine from the s3

  • I guess you have a different turbocharger setup?

    Probably KKK twin-turbo with anti-turbolag?

Btw, you should get Porsche (siliconcarbide) brakes they use on the 911 Turbo, if you are looking for good track brakes which don't fade.

  • no just an IHI hybrid, brakes are going to be AP racing 4 pots + 295mm ali belled discs, siliconcarbide are mega bucks !!

  • now i know thanks i never heard of it before thats why i did not know

  • it's an elise converted with an Audi 1.8 20VT engine,,,

  • retard! do some research. standard elise would never kill a gt3 like that! this is an audi 1.8 turbo engine in an elise

  • there is no audi elise its a lotus elise

  • There are currently 3 versions of the Audi Turbo conversion, all of them use the 1.8 VAG turbo engine, but with different turbos.

As at 15th Aug 2007, 260bhp is £11400 ; 305bhp is £15000. There is no price listed for the 360bhp version at the moment.

An S1 Elise to put the conversion in would cost about £10K second hand, and you would probably want to uprate/change some other parts (particularly brakes and suspension) -- this would likely cost another £5K.

  • Hehe, currently I want to join a project team which is creating a daily-use superlight sports stationwagon.

    Strange combo I know.

IIRC, we want to use our VW 1.4 TSI (170HP) and are looking for more performance.

I was thinking of a Garrett GT2871R turbocharger with a Garrett 703519-6002 intercooler to replace the current one.

This should give it 270-280 HP.

  • very fast elise can beat 911 GT3. nice kill
