This is an almost exact duplicate of the Panzerkampfwagen VI. Famously known as The Tiger 1. It was built from scratch. Using various types of sheet metal. From 14,16,18,20,22 gauges. The only parts that were ordered was the tracks from Fruilmodel, the drive sprockets and the Bosch light. The rest is hand built. The suspension works like the real deal. It will be remote controlled. Rotating turret and sounds. I will be making my own gearbox and using the electric motors from Faulhaber. This tank is all metal. NO!!!! plastics whats so ever. I used the drill press as a mill to build the gun barrel from one an a half aluminum rod. The suspension are using round springs in the suspension rods which are made from a 1/8 metal rods. This model weights around three pounds. Imagine when finished. The two Faulhaber motor has a 144:1 ratio. At 6 volts. This is the only 1/35 tank hand built all in metal. If you wan't to build one, you need a lot of skills and dedication, how to operate the mig, tig and plasma welders/cutters. Also how to operate a drill press. A mill and the most important thing is how to draw squematics. This thing is not easy. You need a lot of patience. But at the end you will feel so proud and so satisfying knowing that your tank is unique. I say unique because the metal finish in this particular model gives it a marvealous look to it. So stay tuned for more videos as I progress. Sincerely, MATOSTRUCK

  • Thanks.

  • Yeah . It can help. It does have a 3/16 inch play. I just don't wanna re-adjusted or there will be a large gap between the idler and the roadwheel. But thanks for your input.

  • Yeah. It needs a lot of adjustments and more details. After it is all done. I will chrome all the parts in non corrossive plating. I will leave it in the metal look. Yeah I like the DAK look. But I am not a good painter. Maybe the next tiger I build in metal. I will send it to get painted. But it is a lot of fun to build these model tanks. Thanks a lot for your input.

  • It look cool. I like this tank very much!

  • @matostruck the idler wheels can be used to adjust the track tension sometimes.

do you think that could help alittle too?

  • It drives good even though you still need to make some adjustments.

tracks looked a bit loose but it still worked that way.

It would be good in the dirt too.Do you like DAK paint look?

It would look good like that or any other way.Do you do any painting yourself?
