True Blood's Kristin Bauer Speaks Out for Tony the Tiger

Kristin Bauer, the actress who portrays the lovely-but-lethal vampire Pam on HBO's award-winning True Blood, has teamed with the Animal Legal Defense Fund in the fight to free Tony, a Siberian-Bengal tiger who has been living in isolation as a "tourist attraction" at the Tiger Truck Stop in Grosse Tete, Louisiana for the past decade. Poor Tony has lived that sad life for far too long. Now is the time for us to win his release to a sanctuary so that he can have the care and medical attention that he so needs. If he is allowed to remain there much longer his owner will surely have him euthanized so that he can be mounted above the salad bar with one of his previous 'family members'. Let Tony go live his remaining few years in peace somewhere he can just enjoy being a tiger. God Speed ALDF in this fight.

my hubby was a trucker for 5 years and went to 50 out of 52 states and he is soo glad to have never went to this truck stop or he would have had a blow out. one way to prove a point is to go on the cb radio, and tell them to petition of never going to that truck stop ever again..get the gas station to go bankrupt the nthey owuld be forced to free tony the tiger!!

I just hate to see any "Tony the Tiger" or any animal for that matter, caged without proper care, space or quality of life. Thanks a million...mary

I've been following Tony's story for a couple of months now, and I'm so glad a celebrity is getting involved. Maybe it'll be the push to have Tony free and live at Big Cat Rescue. He has suffered for too long, and I can't wait for the day that he's free from the noise and fumes. He deserves a happy retirement lounging in the sun and have the enrichment BCR can provide. Your not forgotten Tony!
