  • Just for the record- this is a side episode, of sorts, that we shot for airbnb.com- that we ALSO thought people might want to see here on "Tiny Yellow House" (named after the house from which the show operates). Coming up we DO have more weird/new things I've been building, don't worry, but we're messing with touring what other people have built, the places of others, here and there, as well. Gypsy Wagon Interview on the way, a boat I built, a solar heater, another treehouse, etc....

  • Love this sort of thing. Houseboats have always been an interesting thing for me, it even featured on a kids TV show I used to watch all the time when I was a kid.

The amount of use they have fit in to it is nice, better than most caravans, better than the one I was in a month or so back actually. Use of the roofs is an absolutely great idea, opens up some amazing views and even more space that tends to go unused in almost all housing.

  • @VideoGuyNC Maybe, but they are still pretty small in comparison to most houses. I'd consider it pretty acceptable to be here. Housing like this is pretty much considered tiny. More so because it makes use of that space better than larger houses as well. It has pretty much all the functionality of your typical self-standing house, besides the gardens, but it has great space above it, and great views.

  • You can rent floating cabins on Powell Lake in Coastal BC. Google "float cabins powell lake" and you will find the link for rentals. You will also find my blog about living in an off the grid float cabin a little farther up the lake. - Margy

  • Best host Ever!

  • Dear Deek, i always wanted a tiny yellow floating home......when will you make one of them?

  • build a tiny float house!!

  • I love ur vids man :) but pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez can u make anuther tiny house pleez? I orderd ur book about 2weeks ago , and it aint come yet ... I guess me living in england and u living in america dusnt help :/ i hope it comes soon tho

  • No disrespect - but "600 to 800 sf on average" is hardly "tiny. My first home was less than 400sf, and it was too big in my opinion. Just saying, this is not really relevant to the channel's stated purpose.
