This short film by Jessica Voorsanger was made as part of the Mystery Train project at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London December 2008. Mystery Train is a project that explored game playing, singing (mostly karaoke) and costumes all coming back to ideas about making travel fun and art/galleries places of interest and accessibility. The project embraced London, its transport and popular culture through a series of workshops and visits over a four month period with some students from PIP, Pursuing Independent Paths.
The final project for Mystery Train consists of a publication, this film and poster campaign at Charing Cross Station, in partnership with Art on the Underground based on the game - Heads, Bodies and Legs. Both the publication and the posters are collaged images of the different participants from the London Underground, PIP and the ICA. All of the photographs - from professional photo shoots (at both the ICA and Charing Cross Station), have been reformulated to create new versions of the people involved. This new breed of composite portraits links all of the participants together - all working within art/gallery education or for London Transport; bringing us all together.
