So in one breath Jesus predicts the end of times will be marked by 'wars and reports of wars' and in his next breath he says when nations are at peace the end will come.

Pretty nifty carrot he has over your head there - if there is peace, the end is near, and if there is war, the end is near.

Another question is, where are the earthquakes? The US Geological survey reports the number of earthquakes as unchanged for 170 years (with obvious cycles). I'm sure you'll find an apology for that too.

Many other religious Christian groups are ALSO warning for the signs of the times, and yet they don't put their own organization in the place that only corresponds to Jesus,as mediator between God and Man, as the watch tower has done. So...if the organization and its publications are your main source of assurance that you are in the 'truth', and NOT the BIBLE ALONE, then you ARE in fact in a "control cult". The "REAL" truth is SO powerful in its own merit, that it does not need man made "aids"

@joshuademoraes What do you think was happening 2000 years ago. Wars and crime have always existed and will always exist in this natural system of things. It doesn't mean it is the last days. Things were way worse 2000 years ago.

@VAIO294 The Watchtower does not teach their followers about Jehovah God's Plan of Salvation for all of mankind through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus; this information is held from them, being explained that this "New Covenant" is only for a select few, & does not include them.

At Matthew chap. 11, Jesus tells lovingly tells us "to come to Him," & at John 8:12 He tells us that if we remain in His Word, we will walk in the light & not be in darkness. He is "the truth." (See John 14:6; 8:31-36)

Though the Watchtower has for over 100 gone to great lengths to "explain" what Biblical Teachings "really mean," they admit that "God's Word is clear." So why is it, then, that they feel the need to "reinterpret" it??

The WTBS has often warned the rank & file that they must not let up on studying the literature that they provide, warning, especially, against "just reading the Bible, alone," as that then they would be in danger of believing "false doctrines," & "fall out of the truth." Hmm.

My study conductor tried to explain 1914 to me about 40 years ago. After fifteen minutes of him flipping back and forth in the Bible he put the Bible down. He looked at me and said it would be easier to just look at the signs in the world and not try and explain how 1914 originated. That was back when they believed the generation was limited to the crowd that saw 1914 arrive. 1914 originated with the adventist movement in the 1800's. 607BCE was picked because it makes 1914CE work. TRUTH.
