My point was not that N.T Wright and others engage in as many insults. My point was that the vast majority of the articles on Tektonics . org are not of that nature. They contain arguments which many Christian scholars think are good. That would be why he is endorsed.

@ukchristian28 If you want their was a question I asked holding that he refused to respond in a nonchildish manner and that was the evidence he kept saying did not exist for a pre-Christian virgin birth or a dying and rising savior that is pre-Christian. He refused to even enter into a dialogue and I can give you that e-mail.

@ukchristian28 My point is that he is dishonest and will never change his dishonesty. Look at Hector Avalos' response to him and you will see how Holding does not know jack shit of what he speaks about. Also check out the articles that Earl Doherty and Richard Carrier dedicated to him.

@ukchristian28 For the record, it's fine if he is wrong now and again, almost everyone is and I can't expect him to read the works all the time. Maybe he doesn't have time, but a lot of his reviews when he makes a strawman and is called out on it he will deny ever making a mistake. I have first hand knowledge in this in where I screen caped a comment that he made on Ehrman and then showed him how wrong he was. He then proceeded to delete it and accuse me of photoshoping the screen cap I showed.

That is incorrect. J. P. Holding very often misuses his sources to begin with. He also starts from the get go that something is a forgery. Take the work done by Robert M. Price or Bart D. Ehrman. Not only are his responses mainly strawman attempts, but he will delete any kind of strawman argument he made and then claim he never made it.

That is the point I have been making all along. That is why I support him also. I am curious to know though why the invectives and insults bother you that much. Also, there seems to be a few skeptics (including yourself) who seem absolutely obsessed with opposing him. Why do you and a few others put so much energy into "exposing J.P Holding"? It seems a little odd to me.

It's helpful to note that Mr Holding has removed a good deal of those insults from his website. That might indicate the level of confidence in the Scriptural support he asserts. [Ask him about "metaphorical vicious doves"] No widely respected apologist endorses his use of personal invective, childish insults, and sneering contempt. Otherwise, I'm sure he'd tell us about it. He may obtain some approval for his apologetics but never directly for his insulting methods.
