Brothers and Sisters for Peace (BS4P)
is a registered community-based group of youth in Northern Uganda
which uses different artforms to foster positive social change.
We can be found at the Kitgum Youth Center, KTC, Kitgum District.
The group is comprised of many different youth.
Some are orphans
and some are former LRA abductees
and some are youth out-of-school
and some are in school
And the youth all have different talents like
hip hop
rappers
traditional dancers
breakdancer
drama artists
artists
and different creative dancers.
OBJECTIVES OF BROTHERS AND SISTERS FOR PEACE:
• To promote peace building through music, drama, different art forms
• Bridging the gap between HIV positive and negative people
• Resolving tribal, religious and racial conflicts using power of music
• Building peoples self esteem
• Alerting youths on the danger of drug abuse
• Guiding youths to be disciplined in schools and communities
• Promoting care and support for orphans and vulnerable children
• Promoting international interaction through hip hop
