CIGNAs Edward Hanway spends his holidays in a $13 million beach house in New Jersey. Meanwhile, regular Americans are routinely denied coverage for the care they need when they need it most.

Welcome to the American health insurance industry. Instead of helping policyholders attain the health security they need for their families, big insurance companies get rich by denying coverage to patients. Now theyre sending lobbyists to Washington, DC to twist the arms of lawmakers to oppose reform of the status quo. Why? Because the status quo pays.

Learn more at www.sickforprofit.com about the glamorous lives of billionaire health insurance executives and tell us your story of being victimized by their greed.

  • Healthcare is too important to be manipulated by private health insurance companies. Some (or most) might say that they would never allow the government to stand between them and their doctor, but that is exactly what the private insurers do - for profit. In addition to eliminating private insurance, we need to determine WHY healthcare is so expensive (something rarely - if ever - discussed in Congress) and find ways to reduce those costs across the board.

  • Pathetic.. Truly pathetic... Mr and Mrs politician.... You know it's pathetic because you have government run health care... pretty much sums it up.. Can you say contradicting ... Jokes on the American people.... PROBLEM is the joke is not funny and people are dying....

  • I will never give private health insurance a dam penny of my money... Go @#$^ yourselves you greedy pigs.... Doctors and hospitals also need to start charging less.. .. Problem is these greedy bastards OWN our politicians ... THAT IS THE PROBLEM!!!!

  • Gold plated flatware??? F YOU!!!

  • I just recently lost my job. Without insurance my 3 monthly rx are arouned $2,000. Who can afford that? I can't. I have 4 more days of rx left. Missing 1 day of rx may cause me to go into a condition known as status epilepticus--that being have a seizure over and over and over until you get treatment or die. I've been there once. Luckily I was at work when it happened.

Healthcare is a human right!!! Canada can do it. France can do it. UK can do it amongst others. Why cant the US?

  • You could also call this "Death for Riches!" Fucking murderous CEOs. Good work BNF. I like real people telling real stories.

  • THANK YOU DAD, THAT YOU EMIGRATE TO CANADA NOT USA.

I WOULD BE DEAD LONG TIME AGO DUE TO MY PRE EXISTED CONDITIONS

  • @forwardmover You're not sorry about anyone with a disability. You cud care less about them! You are batting for Cigna.. the king of insurance fraud! Health insurance, is where, if your health is bad, your insurance pays for your dr's treatments! Gosh, who do you think you are really fooling with these posts anyway forwardmover. Where you moving forward to now... ? the Holllywood Hillls. How's your Bentley driving? ROTFLOL

  • @JoJoshua1 They bullied my doctor too, when I got injured on the job at a company who used Cigna as their worker's comp insurer, to not allow me to stay out of work.. My doctor even gave me a doctor's sign letter saying I needed to stay out of work, to heal up. When I brought it into work, I was promptly FIRED by my company! They were also trying to force my medical doctor out of practice, in the state of CT. Which figures, since CT is an insurance haven. Many insurance co. have bases there.

  • Good you get this out to the public. Cigna's a bunch of frauds. We care.. my god, they don't care! All they care about is themselves! While I'm in favor of Health Care reform. to force people to pay for their own health care of fine them, disturbs me. There's so many people out there now, who've paid thru the nose, on their health care premiums, they can hardly afford to keep their homes, or pay their basic bills. Yes, let Health Care reform go thru, but don't force people to pay or be fined
