After 18 years of safe and reliable service the Saab 340B fleet at American Eagle Airlines will be retired in 2008. This workhorse of the airline industry has never experienced a fatal crash in over two decades of domestic flying throughout the United States. It will be well remembered by all the flight crews who safely flew in them.
HAS ANYONE NOTICED THAT AMERICAN EAGLE AND AMERICAN AIRLINES LOOK ALMOST IDENTICAL. OK, WHICH ONE STOLE THE STRIPES RED AMERICAN AND EAGLE LOGO?

@nastypop they have a fatal weakness when it comes to flying in cold weather.
look up VibraciaX (a channel here) and look up the American Eagle flight video. they just have a serious flaw with de-icing. is it the prime reason? idk, but i'm sure it made a problem to routes up north.
this is the first time i've heard them getting id of em, but i'm not surprised cuz i haven't seen any lately. ATR 72 and 42's have good generally good reputations.

why did they chose to replace them with ATR's? - _ -

Hi. That is a great run for you, an aircraft model, and an airline. Good teamwork. I'm curious of more details of this accident you speak of. What airline, when, where, and do you know the cause of the dual failure? Thanks.

I agree, that person went to far with what he was saying. Hence why he stopped.
