Hello, Theramin! Why have I never seen this video before? I could have sworn I'd read your whole video library, so to speak! :)

Question: what program do you use to layer the sounds and video this way? I tried to layer sound and video with Garage Band and iMovie (as you might have seen in my video "Still A Lie"), but the timing was unwieldy and uncooperative. Or is this a case of the poor (inexperienced) worker blaming her tools?

@ReligiousFiction You did an amazing job on 'Still a lie' — I was half captivated by your gorgeous voice, half giggling like a nutter. Took me a while to remember the process for this one — I've been working with Logic so long, I'd rewritten this in my mind as a Logic thing. But it was pre-Logic — it was a multi-track Yahama keyboard, where you can build as previous tracks play on the keyboard itself. Then I took the final track, and edited the videos to fit it. And yes, latency on GB can suck.

@manolismoumouzias Why, thank you! This one takes me back, having fun with my old Yamaha. Then trying to compress the video to under 10MB to limbo under the YT upload limit. Might do a new performance of the fuller version in stereo.

I love this composition of yours. I really find it sparkling and uplifting, and this shorter arrangement works just as beautifully as the extended 11-beat version that accompanies your speed-painting video. An imaginitive video format too. Your videos are always so watchable. I see lots of people 'having a go' on here, but you very obviously have real talent, in numerous areas. 9-D

By the way, I've noticed a lot of amateur composers (I assume you are amateur, not because it sounds amateur - I just figured your career was elsewhere) have a habit of letting their chord sequences/progressions fall suddenly flat or go suddenly weak (not sure how to express what I actually mean here), but you really sustained the musical tension there.
