I read somewhere that Vlad was struck down by his own men because he was wearing Enemy colors. Apparently he would wear Enemy colors so he would be able to sneak past front lines and attack important targets in the rear of the fight. Anyone know if there is truth to this?

it now occurs to me that Vlad may be sadistic, but the decision to do the impalement forest may stem from the fact that he is incapable of mounting an offense and hope this strategy would've been a deterent, if he had an army capable of fighting back, he might not have chosen to do this after all
