i think he was the first person on superstars challenge to win both the 100 yard dash and the weightlifting competitions. I met him and his wife, their children are going to be freak athletes, both good looking parents. I miss these days as well, there was a time when the Big Ten ruled and Penn State was tops. All this SEC talk is killing me, Bama/LSU/Flor all down at some point, Big Ten will rise again. RIP jopa.

If you check out the 1999 highlights here on youtube - the commentator says after a great Lavar tackle, "Hey - have you ever been chased by a grizzly bear??" LOL....

@rexcide thats incorrect. he was a pro-bowler with the redskins, and played hard in the nfl for 5 years. he has no more knees. he had it as a pro. hail to the redskins

I still remember that leap.........fucking amazing shit.........he was one of the best athletes to ever play at Penn State.........BAR NONE.
