  • I've seen a lot of bands that can imitate bands like Metallica so well. But i have not yet seen tribute bands that can imitate The Edge's sound. Edge cannot lead like Kirk Hammet but The Edge is the master when it comes to delays, echo's, shimmer effect. The Edge is unique!

  • edge is... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!

  • the reason why The Edge is called The Edge is because he literally gives U2 the edge over other bands and the sound he brings to U2 is intrinsic!

  • i will follow's guitar part was written by bono...

  • @coolwaterdvr I reckon Bill Bailey could hahaha

  • Sos el mejor Edge!!

  • And honestly, I get incredibly bored listening to Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Van Halen (with the exception of Van Hagar), Guns N Roses, and other bands like those. They may be interesting to watch with all their fast and intricate guitar parts but their music doesnt actually reach me like a good U2 song does

  • All these haters who feel they need to rip Edge or his band an asshole because he doesnt shred or whale like Eddie Van Halen or Kirk Hammet need to find something better to do. What does it matter that Edge doesnt play a million notes in a song? Where The Streets Have No Name is a perfect example of a song that only needs minimalist playing. A six note arpegio is all it is and thats one of the most beautiful songs Ive heard in my life. I certainly wish I wrote it, though I wasnt even born til 89

  • @SusanRosanna that's called technology you stupid prick ...when he first started playing back in 1976 do you think he started out with a "edge pedal" asshole???....his sounds came out of thousands of hours of experimentation creating guitar parts using effects and if you think the man cant play check out an early U2 performance from 1978 called "Street Mission" the song sucks ...but his solo doesn't

The same for another early song you can find on youtube called "The Fool" listen to that solo

  • You must see the U2 tribute band 2U. They have the originals nailed perfectly!

  • @MrNutsack101 i love both bands =P

  • happy birthday edge
