  • So I liked to learn that pitch riding, but when I allways use it alot like u, thosent the pitch slider wear out easily?

    Sry bad english.

  • It is all about practise. I do agree that for a lot of dj's using the pitch and touching the platter is fine, but for me i am used to just using the pitch. thanks j

  • to the people who dissagree with this method, watch all the videos. jonathan shows all the different methods in great detail, and always stresses that it is all about preference. if you dont like it, get off your high horse and check a vid that covers your favourite technique, and you will find that he gets it spot on too!

  • this would be very fiddly with CDJ's i think?

  • does the pitch slider wear out easily? how do I know when my pitch has worn out?

  • i don't get it : |

  • @CultureCrusader another point to add is that you won't be paid if you're just using a pre mixed cd if somebody notices it and talks to you about it. Especially if you're working for a dj agency or at a club....the manager will always hear about it.

  • Just checking that the only benefit of using two pitch controls instead of touching the platter/ jog wheel is that it looks more professional?

  • pro...

  • Absolutely right...you don't mess with the pitch of the 'live' record it wrecks the smoothness and flow of the mix (and yeah the crown can tell!). Most important tip is learn how to beatmatch first and mix later, use a variety of styles of music as well to hone your skills.

  • big up dnb souljah!

  • awesome house music!!
