Excellent. Now I'm off to hear Keith Emerson's version.

Also, if you can find it on the web, there's a Boosey Hawkes of the Russe conductor's score. Have to say, the polyrhythmic stuff is amazing. in section 110, you'll see the top half is in 2/2 the bottom in 6/4... another cool part at 115 at the meno mosso sempre maestoso where the strings are in 3/2 and the brass/woodwinds in 2/2. Not sure if Ravel did that.. the piano is triplets

As to the percussion, sounds like they're trying to get the grace notes of the piano arrangement...
There's a Noteworthy file at scriptorium that's pretty close to the piano arrangements I've seen before - you can get a Noteworthy player and watch the score as it plays...measure 163 onward

As a professional cellist in a symphony orchestra, I can honestly say this is one of my fav pieces to play! BRAVO....well done!

That final part gives me chills every time. I've never heard anything else so powerful.
Chills every time. Playing it is even better

That audience claps only a little compared to what I would do..... I would jump up and cheer like I was at a metal concert, even though this is nothing like metal.
