This was the good ol' days of UFC when there was Kung Fu dude vs Kenpo Dude, Jujitsu dude vs Pit Fighter dude. And the refs didn't really know what the hell they were doing. Not sure how someone didn't die during this time period, haha.

@mykull1090 Nothing you wrote makes sense in any way, shape, or form. By your logic, Dan Severn would've beaten Royce Gracie because he had him on his back for the entire fight (Pinning is a winning criteria in amateur wrestling).

The UFC back then was supposed to be a no-holds-barred fight; the limited rules gave each style an even plain to fight on. Adding Sumo winning criteria just because you feel sorry for him makes no sense at all. Keith Hackney was the better fighter.

@ThePinkMan "Aside from the fact that they could've never expected anybody to be pushed out of the fence . . ." That's the reason why I think it should have been accepted. A UFC selling point is there's no way to break the cage. Sumo usually just has to get you out of a ring, but he thrust Hackney through an "unopenable" metal cage; victory for that does not seem absurd. 'Course, Yar should have stipulated that B4 the fight. And since it was "impossible," they might've agreed.
