Vanessa Williams has an absolutely incredible voice. INCREDIBLE. She's worth ten thousand screaming wailing Mariah Carey's. Williams is the real deal... seriously very talented.

do you know who the choir is? and was this in NYC?
jessicalm145 2 years ago
According to the CD liner notes for this track, the orchestra & choir were arranged by Jeremy Lubbock, and the
choir on "Go Tell It on the Mountain" was arranged by Andrae Crouch.
However, that doesn't mean that the people we see singing are the actual choir members. Maybe they are, but they could have just been extras who were hired to lip synch to the recording.
This special was shot in Hollywood, I believe.

who are the dancers? or at least from what company?
OneHundredChords 2 years ago
The dancers' names are Paula Brown & Darrel Wright. I don't know what dance company they came from.

Great job on the video splicing. Thank you for the full version of this song. (we can only see the lips not synced between 4:58-5:16) But other than that its perfect!

Thanks for the compliment. I think you're the first person to notice where that splice is (or the first person to comment on it, anyway). It was fun finding ways to "expand" the video so that I could use the uncut audio.
