Interesting but not scientific. I would like to see a control of how a fmj reacts going through the same test media. Otherwise you can only make estimations. Thanks for testing though.

I still havnt lost faith in the round yet?

FMJ will blow through. I did a test on just water jugs with 9mm FMJ and it traveled approx. 36 inches. The newspaper jugs wouldn't be much different. I'm moving to another media late 2010, SIM-TEST. It is not ballistic gel, but very much in the ballpark.

I've generally had good experiences with WWB 115gr JHP and 147gr JHP. Can you redo any of these tests on either of these two rounds?

Add Bone to your tests, This is the same round as the Winchester silver tip, just a different color and the scribbing (lol is that the correct word?) isn't as long for deeper penetration..

Speaking of budget loads, have you thought of testing the Remington UMC 115gr jhp #L9MM1B? I would like to hear what you think of that load as a seconday or backup load.

Here is the truth about ALL HPs results will differ dramatically depending on what clothing target is wearing the cloth will bond and become entangled with the round preventing it from expanding

The absurd cost of premium SD ammo makes the Winchester White Box very attractive. It's plenty good, don't need no magic boolits at $25 for a box of 20.

Where the hell do you find WWB in 147gr?!?!? Walmart only carries 115 :(

Penetration would be different when striking the rib cage or sternum, in a panic, life-threatening situation.  What load/caliber/weapon would you recommend for primary self defense?

These ammo are not easy to find at wal-mart here in Knoxville TN, all they have is wwb ball.
