Jawa 250 - badass idling

Mounted a "new" rotor on the old 6V 45W dynamo and - believe it or not - the charge indicator (namely the red lighbulb) now goes out the instant I start the engine. The rotor has apparently been remanufactured by an amateur enthusiast and it seems to churn out a lot of watts. He used lighter gauge copper wire to improve the coils. Having thus postponed any near future plans to buy expensive (yet efficient) Power Dynamo solutions, I can now relax and enjoy my 35W main beam :).

And the idling's also a lot better - check it out!

Am montat un rotor "nou" pe dinamul meu de 6V 45W. Parcă nu-mi vine să cred ce bine merge încărcarea acum, că becul roşu (martorul de încărcare) se stinge imediat cum pornesc motorul. Pot să am şi cel mai nesimţit de lent ralanti, că becul roşu tot stins stă. Am aflat ulterior că rotorul a fost rebobinat de mână cu fir mai subţire! Treaba asta m-a salvat pentru moment de la investiţia mai scumpuţă pe care o presupune trecerea întregii instalaţii pe 12V. Mă bucur deocamdată de toţi cei 35W ai fazei lungi :).

Şi ce ralanti nesimţit de frumos are!

Da, are baterie şi dinam pe 6 volţi cu rotor rebobinat artizanal de un amic amator. Se pare că scoate suficient curent cât să ţină un ralanti mult mai frumos. În plus, pot să merg cu toate becurile aprinse fără să mai păţesc buba de a mă trezi cu bateria descărcată, aşa cum s-a-ntâmplat cu un rotor original de Jawa.

asta-i pe 6 Volti si are baterie / sistem de incarcare baterie ?? (nu prea cunosc Jawele) ms.

Thanks, Terry! I must agree, I love those racks. The shape flows nicely and all that. I would settle for a pair of slightly longer rear shocks though. Two lads like myself on that saddle and the poor girl scrapes chrome off those exhausts on a bigger bump or a more inclined lean.

Had a slight incident with a car today. The left crashbar bent backwards a bit and it also put a small dent in the left-hand exhaust pipe. I have to get over it though, it's iron - we can fix it :).
