I built this robot several years ago. it uses the Basic Stamp homeWork board. the program it runs is called, "fast nav IR" .
it uses 2 IR LEDs and 2 IR recievers. it turns left or right when it sees an object in front of it.
the boddy came from a computer, I used a dremal to sand it.

  • This is awesome! would you be able to make one with a basic stamp 2 usb version ive just started with microcontrollers so ive only been doing projects with leds cause there cheap and easy to use.

  • I have that same board. Is that the one that came with a cheapo book and cost 80 or so USD? Lol. It's hilarious what we pay to get a simple obstacle avoider before beam. I remember I was so proud of what I did with it. Imagine what 80 dollars would get on a BEAM style. A super flying war machine that can exit the atmosphere, most likely. ;P
