    maths in these videos is college level maths and some of the topics are university level.

  • (2y_1 + y_2 - y_1)/2

    = (y_1 + y_2)/2

  • Thanks for your midpoint formula proof but you jumped the part after you got y_2 - y_1 = 2A where A is the vertical distance on the right triangles. Solving for A yields 1/2(y_2 - y_1) but this needs to be added to y_1. So:

  • @doughauf the square root 13 multiplied by the square root of 13 is the same thing as 13 squared which leads to the square root and the square being cancelled out.
