MacBook Pro 13" 2010: 2,4ghz - 4gb Kingston HyperX CL5, Samsung SSD 128gb MLC, Nvidia 320M

In this video i'm running a boot up test on my MacBook Pro, that is followed by Common application opening. It takes it 15 seconds boot up and another 10-11 seconds to open Mail - Facebook - iTunes - Skype - Adium and uTorrent. It's really FAST considering that originally it did just the boot up within 36 seconds, so you can imagine how long was gonna take to open all the others apps.

Rate the video, COMMENT, and expecially post videos of yours, i'd love to see someone doing it faster than mine!

  • Great video! Does the SSD increases the battery life?

  • @naikabass Yes, but i cannot quantify how much exactly... Battery life on Mac is already great :-)

  • Holy that is fast. I have the same MBP and i think the boot up is FAST already but wow, SSD is FAST!!!!

    How much was the SSD?

  • @faYte0607 300usd - but now u can find it for 200...

  • My Late 2008 MB boots in 23s with:

    2.4 ghz Core2 Duo

    8gb RAM - Crucial

128SSD - Samsung (from Apple build option)

    Why is it slower?

What % of your SSD is filled? Mine is ~64% filled.

  • Is this sata 2 or 3?

  • That's so fast MacBook pro is so good and the 2010 only has the really old intel core 2 duo CPU

  • Boot test 1:10

  • lol nice! i don't know why but i love those Apple products... they works simple

  • How fast would be, the 13" Macbook pro with the 128gb SSD, 8gb Ram, i7 2.8 GHz??

  • Have you had any problems with this SSD? I am thinking of buying one soon

    Ciao amigo

  • where you get your iphone unlock?

  • your bootup time is not 15 but 20 sec.start counting when you puss the button.

  • Intel SSD is SLOW, OCZ SSD are unreliable.

    How is the Samsung SSD?
