  • It boils down to values. In America, businesses have promoted, through advertising, that we need more than we can afford. The populace has been persuaded to buy, buy, buy, whether or not we can afford it. The traditional American value of "thrift and save" was thrown out in favor of a "give me all I can get now" mentality. Too many have been convinced that "we are" what we drive or what expensive lables we wear. The most prestigeous folks in town are the ones with the best stuff (and debt).

  • US economy is collapsing for sure, bailout plan is no sustainable method, all it does is prolong the agony

  • Market freedom is still what America should go back to. I've heard "oh no, they are corrupt"! Shut up with that!. Everything has the potential to be corrupt! Name something, ANYTHING that deals with money that ISNT corrupt. Even with corruption its far better for ALL than have one governement leader OR the "global" community direct American governement.
