  • Hmm. The viewers I'm watching this with agree that the quality is decreasing in each new video.

    * witnesses typically do not read all of their answers from a page. Did Cott actually do this at trial?

    * zoom in each of the frames a little bit, so we wouldn't see, for example, counsel's hand in witness's frame.

    * for continuity, people don't generally change clothes instantaneously.

    * the transcript is not being adhered to

    More attention to detail, please.

  • Your message definitely caught our attention.

I should stress that our primary goal is to make the trial proceedings accessible as a video/audio for people who would never access the printed transcripts. We have shot nearly 3,000 pages of transcript with a cast of over 40 professional actors on $0 budget. All of the contributors, including our editors, are volunteering their time.

  • In typical film & television production, professional actors typically have a number of days to prepare for 10-20 pages of script. In this case, our actors had less than a few hours to prepare for 300+ pages, with very few cuts. We simply did not have the luxury of a second take.

It is important to note, as well, that we gave specific direction to all of our actors *not* to paraphrase and always to choose the script over a more dramatic moment of eye contact, for instance. The simple fact

  • The simple fact is that real people spoke these actual words and our purpose is to re-create the transcript as a historic record.

You will find errors, to be sure. Some of these are entertaining for some viewers, who enjoy finding that sort of thing. We do not intend to have continuity errors, missing pages due to data corruption, that sort of thing. We are, however, very proud that we have been able to reach the quality of production possible on our schedule.

  • @historyboy08 what about "no law shall be made respecting an establishment of religion."

  • @AlexanderMccarthey87 the 1st amendment states the freedom of religion so yes, its constitutional

  • @historyboy08 and making a law which clearly respects an institution of religion against gay marriage is constitutional?

  • @rg0057 about the continuity I think the reason they changed clothes was because it was the next day.

  • Prop 8 is constitutional! What the state of California wanted to do with the legalization of gay marriage prior to the passing of Proposition 8, was violating the separation of church and state. If California would have made gay marriage legal only at the federal level where a gay couple could be married at the Justice of the Peace, that would be lawful.

  • @MarriageTrial In my opinion, the re-enactment is brilliantly conceived, performed and captured on video. This particular trial is immensely important and I regard the herculean efforts of all participants to have done a great service to further the education of all people regardless of where in the world they live.

I will also say that it takes much more thought to ponder the implications that result from this trial than it does to find things to poke fun at.

  • @nagla2009 Do you have any proof of this or are you just calling names to distract people from your own inadequacies?

  • @PONYBOY430 good i hate faking gays and lesbians, they can all die.

  • @PONYBOY430 gays lesbian are freaks ,they dont need to married.
