ah u guys hv to giv more credit than that, this guy is clearly good, so what that it's not drum machine perfect, how do you know he was fully warmed up and had a good night sleep and it wasn't 9 am, school hours?
-
this is why its good having a former cadets snare as a drum teacher :\

@Forevaitalia real talk

Not really pipe band style to me. His index finger is over the top of the stick not typical in Scottish drumming, very little contact with the thumb on the stick, and his pinky and ring finger are much more bent than the typical pipe band drummer. Also he is playing very down into the drum, not a lot of lift for a pipe band drumming style.

To all the douchebags commenting on this: the guy in the video is playing pipe band style. It's different (gasp!) from corps style. Lay off.

To the guy who posted: what are you TRYING to learn from this teacher? With all due respect for other traditions, if you want to march DCI, this is NOT the instructor for you. (Maybe he's good for another approach, though.)
-
he's playing the pipe band snare drum. You can tell by the way he's holding the sticks.
