@pgrankin1 I must say I stand corrected. My daughter (who loves the anime and the Manga series) informed me that Hatori is not a sea horse he is a sea dragon. It was kinda easy to miss because the anime never shows an actual horse.

In the show Frutis Basket Hatori is a sea horse not a dragon, This would make sense b/c he is a doctor and the horse represents wellness. Although they never tell you which animal Akito is I believe he is the Dragon b/c he is the head of the family and Hatori mentions him having "another fever." The rooster was never mentioned and neither was the black haired chick shown as the horse.
