thanks for the positive feedback everybody. I knew I wasn't alone in my near obsession to obtain this tune.

It's not perfect, but it's something... as opposed to nothing.

And I'll say again, if this inspires someone out there with some actual serious studio skills, I ask that you give it a go as well. I'd love to hear some other (and perhaps probably better) results. Thanks again!
