60's Underground Lost & Found -Madam JoJo's-

I filmed and edited a Northern Soul music event at Madam JoJo's, as part of the 60's exhibition at the V&A. I made documentary style film and burned it on DVDs, which are used for archive
material and promotion.

Yeah, you are right. But check up what paul Weller said. And Keb Darge who was a leading DJ of Northern Soul movement in 70-80's mixes all up from Northern Soul, Rockabilly, Funk, Ska, Reggae and everything. He's gone so far from what he's done.

Haha! Shame no sound but I was amazed to see myself in this one lol (4.29- end) chin wagging as usual when I should have been dancing !! Great night had by all :-)

Jump blues has though mate, as it was this style of danceable blues that evovled into soul and thats a lot of what Keb plays at this night. Plus some northern, 70s soul and ska.

You should try it - okay not a northern soul night but a good night where you will hear good soul records played amongst other genres.

Keb likes to do new things so you won't like this if you want to play safe. Main thing is you can dance to this stuff and he still has a great ear for what will work on the dance floor!

Much as I love 50s blues and rockabilly - it sure ain't Northern Soul! Nice to see Keb again, haven't seen him since the great days of Stafford. Still smoking in every way Keb!
