A parent social hosting for teens, for any reason, is unacceptable. Social host "a person who furnishes another with alcohol in a social setting..."
Many parents are unaware that other parents are allowing their children to drink.
21% of teens attended a party where alcohol was provided by someone else's parents.
27% of teens have attended a party with drinking where parents were present.
Parents are under a dangerous misconception that allowing teens to consume alcohol is safe while it is supervised. No parent can completely control the actions of teens during or after a party.
