It's Ake Persson. This is a small-combo version of the Clarke-Boland Big Band (CBBB). For some outstanding trombone work from him look for "And All Those Cats" (Shihab), "Lady Heavy Bottom's Waltz" (Gerrge Griffin) or Companionship, Sax No End, All Blues (CBBB)

I think it was on a compilation from the mid eighties called 'Jam for Boppers' or sumthin similar. Put together by a DJ from Coventry called Baz fe Jazz
