When I went through there a number of times in the late 90s early 00s I'm sure there were signs up banning photography. Maybe they relaxed this ruling but generally u can say no filming directly at the crossings. I was in HK in 98 filming inside a shopping centre and was stopped by security, this was b4 9/11. China = great place , Southern China Fantasic part of the world. Golden Palace Hotel GD = Best Hotel in the world!!

The walk over the bridge is impressive, you come from nothing (HK green land, forests etc) and you see SZ which is just a mass of buildings (great place). Only when I went the border guards quarinted all my equipment I had on business. It took a day to retrieve, then we got it through the other 'road boarder crossing' devided up amongst 3 of us. They're tuff cookies these China border agents, be very careful what you say and do, they can lock you up at their own will if you say sthg out of orde

Great posting. Was there last Oct. I got there after 18 hrs in the air, 36 hrs total travel time and thinking "What the hell did I get myself into?!?".
