We conclude this look at a rare ballet rehearsal with Farukh Ruzimatov and Altynai Asylmuratova under the guidance of his coach, Gennnady Selyutsky. We see themr in this rare ballet rehearsal of the ballet 'Try".We see her talking to her husband, Konstantine Zaklinsky, who is talking to Igor Zelensky.
Ruzimatov briefly rehearses Giselle and we see his magnificent Albreacht style and his pheneomenal pirouettes.
I wish a video existed of this performance, but I am 100% certain that this was never filmed. I am thankful that we have this video. For over 20 years, I was under the impression that this ballet was called "Rehearsal". Fortunately, a Russian ballet fan has corrected me and told me that the ballet is called "Try" and was choreographed by a Hungarian, Fydor Stavil. It was a 2 act ballet and Konstantine Zaklinsky was one of the stars.

  • Asylmuratova and Ruzimatov were I think at one time romantically involved, even though each was married to someone else. There was a tour in NYC where the shit hit the fan, and I think their partnership broke off after that.

  • @palubob Leonid Sarafanov is not short at all. I stood next to him in class & he was at least 4" taller than me & I'm 5'6. So he's around 5'10-6'0 (178-183) area. Ruzimatov on the other hand isn't as tall. I agree w/ russianballetvideo. I saw him in numerous occasion & he's somewhere around 5'9-5'10 (175-178) area. But he does appear to be alot taller due to his long limbs & big/open movement quality.

  • I am sorry, but your information is wrong...The title of the ballet is Rehearsal, and was choreographed by ANTAL FODOR in 1982. Yes, he is Hungarian, and this ballet was the most successful of him, performed by the Kirov/Mariisky as well...

the ballet was filmed in Hungary with the original cast (actually a mix of the original 1st and 2nd cast)...

  • he is so svelte. European dancers are much thinner than American dancers. I want to be like that.

  • My favorite dancers forever and ever. No one can compare.

  • I have to tell that Ruzimatov has a HUGE fan base in Japan!

They are not chatty like me,

BUT THEY ALL THANK RSSIANBALLETVIDEO ENORMOUSLY FROM THE BOTTOM OF THEIR HEART!

  • You are correct that one foot is 30.48 cm, but 5'9" is 5 .75 feet and if you multiply 30.48 by 5.75, the answer is 175.26 cm.

  • one feet is 30,48 cm aprx 179,8 cm if is 5,9 l saw very near me at stage door in genoa he was with vishneva after giselle

  • He is around 175 cm, 5'9". 180 is impossible.

  • no once saw him very near l am 174 cm he was taller than me may be 180 more or less,l had this impression
