HORIBA ATS GIANT 6200 Brake Test Stand

The HORIBA GIANT 6200 is the most popular universal dynamometer for performance and NVH applications. Its flywheel section is able to simulate vehicle inertias relevant for the test of brakes and covers a wide range of inertias from motorcycle to duty trucks.
High quality safety components and a proven monitoring concept controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) assure highest safety standards for operators, test stand and specimen. Furthermore, the GIANT 6200 offers good working conditions for the operator during the rigging of test brakes or test axles.

HORIBA offers integrated ventilation and climatic systems that supply reliable and fully automated conditions of -20°C to +50°C to carry out brake tests under different environmental conditions.

The STARS Brake Automation System is an integral part of all GIANT Dynamometers. The fully automated test programs assure stable and reproducible test conditions and results.

A modern operation panel which is connected to STARS Brake Automation provides fully featured manual operations of the dyno and the test brake.
