I love my Ford Everest 'coz it's just so pogi, but if you're driving alone or you only have 1 or 2 passengers, hay naku. MAALOG. MAALOG ANG MILYONES!
I end up using my smaller but much more comfortable Kia Sportage 2009.

wait for the 4th gen of ford everest...more stylish and reliable..

It's a great Suv! It is even more spacious than a fortuner or montero sport! We have the silver one

@tjhaywood100 Point taken. But the Everest will have a long way to go to get in the market against the 4Runner, Xterra, Grand Cherokee, and the like. By the time it gets equipped to compete with the Trailblazer, it will have lost it's original intent and Ford will need another model to take its place or risk confusing its image to the buying public. Considering that the segment is following the lead of the Range Rover, the chances of Ford seeing the viability of the idea is nil.

@ChuddleBuggy You're a little behind the times there dude. The fantastic Aviator is long gone, replaced by the MKX which is nothing more than a FWD Ford Edge with a Lincoln grille. The Mountaineer is soon to be history since Mercury is going away this year. And the Explorer ain't what it used to be. The new one for 2011 is a FWD imitation based on the Flex platform. The only "real" SUV Ford has left is the Expedition. And I shudder to think what they have planned for it in the future.

@tjhaywood100 The Explorer competes with the Chevy Trailblazer/GMC Envoy, Toyota 4Runner, Nissan Pathfinder, etc. The Everest has a purpose altogether for a different marketplace than that of the US. and here in the Philippines it is serving it quite well as an alternative to the Toyota Innova and the like. In the US, Ford currently has the Explorer, Mountaineer, Aviator for the midsize segment, then the Escape for the compact market, not even counting the crossovers(Edge).

@onilledzep in compromise you mean if it has a stiff ride? no, even though it has 18" mags with low profile tires and has a high ride hide the toyota fortuner feels stiffer, it might be a bit stiff in the third row sit, but everest has better handling than other suv's because of the wide footprints of the wide tires, are you from the philippines?

does rim 18" compromise suspension?

its a good SUV=) maganda engine performance medyo sporty ang suspension pero you get better road feel with the 18 alloy wheels.. medyo matagtag pero bearable naman.. sa 3rd row lang talaga kawawa uupo dun masusuka hehe its good for 5 persons pag long driving. pero kuing may dalawa sa 3rd row maghanda sila plastik bag
