@susanbird1 First, YES.... I DO PAY MY WAY IN THE WORLD. Infrastructure, such as highways, roads, etc, are paid by my tax dollars on every gallon of gas I purchase. I pay income and sales tax (not to mention capital gains) and the Gov't spends like drunken sailors (no offense to our men/women in uniform). Where the fuck do you get your idea that being born gives you the right to anything? You earn what you use. That is the way of the world. No libs, No lies, No Shit.

That really nice of you but don't you realize that it is the insurance companies and their lobbyists who have been using smoke and mirrors to bamboozle the American Puiblic. Take some time and read H.R. 3962 (maybe skim is right word - it is about 2000 pages) and see for yourself. Don't rely on what others tell you especially what Pelosi would like to believe.

When its about our health care, the way Hilary Clinton tried and now Obama is trying, its always fiercely opposed by the republicans. But back in 2003 when it was for WAR , It was all green lights!!!!

Why can't there be in this country a basic minimal public plan, which can be complemented by private plans, or if people prefer to have completely private plans? That's the way it works in most countries.

The public plan allows to keep things in control since the interest of private companies is not the health of the Americans but it is the profits and the increase in their stocks value.

Also there is already Medicare - a public plan or government-run plan - and it is indispensable...
