A more recent video with better sound:

This is my '99 SV650 with a handful of little things done, resurrected after sitting ignored for months while it snowed on us.

Some of it: Jardine semi-full exhaust with Tyga Moto Maggot pipe, de-snorkeled K&N, rebuilt motor with aftermarket cams and pistons, Barnett clutch, integrated LED tail, F3 wheel w/ Zoran's spacers and Sargent seat (the best money I've put into the bike). It also has an '06-'07 GSXR 600-750 headlight with turn signals integrated into the side wings, Moose fat bars and Cycra billet handguards.

  • hmmm im not sure if to go for the full system change or just swap out the end can, oh well.

Thanks a lot for the info theheineken

  • @oobeedoob Well, for what it's worth I've seen some people on SV Rider just hack off the stock can and put a Tyga on, but I think it takes a sleeve to bring the diameter of the stock exhaust up to 2", which is the inner diameter of the Tyga.

  • Hey dude love the bike. got an sv myself and was looking at getting a new exhaust system.

    Where did you get yours?

    How much?

Have you noticed any difference in power(more/less)?

btw looks and sounds really good!

  • @oobeedoob Well, it's been years since I did it all. The exhaust started as a Jardine RT-One semi-full, which kept the head pipes but had a more intricate/well-made collector/midpipe. Then I put on the Tyga, a de-snorkeled K&N and jetted it up. Seat of the pants power- not much different, but volume (both exhaust and motor noise from under the tank) was more pronounced. Gas mileage dove though.

At the time I had to order the Tyga from Bang Lamung, Thailand, but they have a US distributor now.

  • That headlight off the Gixxer looks perfect on there. I love it man. Great sound and definately is a reliable bike. My brother has an '01 with 40,000 miles on it.

  • @95beretta Yep, I've got a little over 50k on this one.

  • yeah! amazing sound ;)

  • yeah. thats a bit of a patch job really. and i see it only actually suits the er6. damn!

  • Easy as can be, mounts with the spring clamps from the aftermarket system already on the bike. It'll go right in place of the muffler so long as it attaches by springs and the midpipe has a 2" OD.

It fit on both the Jardine semi-full (which is what is on there now) and the Two Brothers slip-on exhausts that I've had.

  • is the tyga maggot easy to install? How did you mount it?

    Thanks
