What a beautyful moment, of healthy horses, Can i ask how old the foal is here?
-
@operafan65 I was just thinking that myself, that she was telling the foal to stay away more so than the stallion.
-
i love the look on the stallion's face at the end :3
-
@operafan65 It's beautiful how she is so protective of the foal, telling the foal to stay by her and the stallion the opposite lol

Not sure I agree she is telling stallion to move off. I think her instructions are to the foal. She moves him away from the stallion (usually, but not always) and she usually keeps herself between them. If she wanted the stallion to move away, she could definitely tell him to, but she doesn't. My interpretation: she is instructing the foal to stay by her and not get too curious with other horses. But, she is not really worried, so the instruction is very relaxed. Other opinions? Love the videos

@operafan65 The mare is talking to both of them. She is moving the foal away, but also telling the stallion to move. She isn't making too big a deal about it, and every time he gives calming signals she eases up; as long as he stays still and passive he can stay. If this was a strange stallion she would be much more upset about him being there, but they know each other well, and she knows he listens to her when she needs him to. So, she isn't TOO worried, just sending a message to both of them.

@Pumanic
The stallion is not showing rejection, he is showing "calming signals" to the foal, letting the youngster know that he is not a threat
