  • I have one more question to ask. Did you find a rash when you got diagnosed? I don't have one at the moment.

  • @neil1758 no neil i Never had a rash. I think the percentage is only about half the people who get bit and contract Lyme never even get the rash.... I am NOT surprised you tested negative with the infectious disease doctor, infact id be SHOCKED if you tested positive because like I said the testing is worth DIDDLY SQUAT!!!!!!! It is a shame and they know and I hold them COMpletley responsible for the suffering ive been through, with better more accurate testing it couldve been prevented!!!

  • Hi Alisa,

Thanks for your reply. I'm just a bit worried because I've still got these crazy symptoms going on after two years and they can't find out whats wrong. All the tests come back normal including scans. Its so frustrating not getting any answers. My symptoms are extreme fatigue, pain all over the body, dizziness, muscle twitches, eye blurrieness and pain, digestive problems. the list goes on. Some of the neurological type symptoms where I get confused make you feel like your nuts. Neil.

  • @neil1758 WIth ALL MY HEART I would recommend getting into see an LLMD (lyme literate doctor) and PLEASE watch the Documentary called UNDER OUR SKIN. Its on itunes/netflix/hulu ect.... You will be relieved after watching it, you will find that what your going through your not alone and your not going crazy and there IS a reason for those wild symptoms..... PLEASE watch the documentary, I promise you wont regret it!!!!!!!!!

  • how was your lymes disease diagnosed? can general blood tests detect it?

  • @neil1758 hi neil, so sorry for the late reply..... General blood test can detect it if you go immediately after being bit, like within 48hrs, Otherwise NO it will not show up because the bacteria leave the blood and find home in the connective tissues, organs, nervous system ect.... WHICH is why so many of us got so sick because everything kept coming up negative. The ONLY reliable lyme diagnosing lab is called IGENIX.... much love to you, alisa

  • whole foods refused to label GMO's so be a little weary unless they resent that decision.

  • I was diagnosed two and a half years ago. Having a tough time fighting through it. Keep your head up, your positive atitude is refreshing! I have had good results with eating tons of garlic. How are you feeling these days? -RD

  • Sorry to bother you agian. Just wanted to say I live in the UK so I don't think I could get IGENIX test over here. How did you know you had lymes disease? I've had these horrible symptoms for 2 and a half years now. Even my vision is being affected and they can't find out why? I'm so scared. I went to see an infectious diseases doctor who did a Lymes test about a year and half ago but this was negative and he never took it further. My general blood tests appear normal. Don't know what to do.

  • How did you get a proper diagnosis for lymes? I don't think the doctors can prove I have it so its hard for me to get treated. what sort of treatement were you on?

  • Thanks Alisa I will give it a watch. I went to see an infectious diseases doctor a couple of years back but lymes tested negative. I still suspect I may have it though as I've heard there can be false negative results. Are you feeling much better now? I really hope I do have lymes as they can't find anything else.
