Some of Garvey's former LA teammates got annoyed with his tendency to always want to be in front of the camera and talk. With that drive for attention it's pretty cool how he was playing 1st base when Aaron hit his 715th home run in '74. He was also playin 1st when Jackson hit 3 homers in the final game of the '77 World Series. He was out there when Gibson hit that 3-run homer in the '84 series at Tiger Stadium. Finally Garvey was playing 1st when Rose broke Ty Cobbs hit record in 1985.

You got that right. Garvey should be in the Hall of Fame. He was a great player!!! My favorite too!!!

The "Dodgers" name should be returned to Brooklyn. This Organization has too much "Brooklyn Origin" to call itself "The Los Angeles Dodgers".. Los Angeles stole "The Dodgers" from Brooklyn.

i see him like everyday but it's like whatever

Good question, maybe he didnt want to make a bad toss. He was my favorite Dodger of all time. "Mr. Clutch"!

Why didn't he throw the ball from the mound?
Garvey is my favorite baseball player of all-time. He was a great defensive firstbaseman, a great contact hitter ,a great power hitter, and a great hitter in the playoffs.

My favorite Dodger, Padre, and baseball player of all time. Mr. Clean with his Popeye forearms. Excellent player, should be in the Hall of Fame. I'm a Dodger fan but when he went to the Padres, I became a Padre fan during his time there. #6
